Boy mom to three nearly-grown young men (what?! how did that happen?)

Director of Communications for an international NGO that provides homes for kids with disabilities who were abandoned

Volunteer Head of Communications for The Earth Elders, a start-up international nonprofit dedicated to healing this Earth through the wisdom of Traditional Ecological Knowledge of indigenous people world-wide

Travel abroad for work and get to spend time with the remarkable children in our homes and nutrition programs! (...sigh; my favorite thing to do!)

Run an old-fashioned Airbnb from a suite in my home. (the kind where guests from all walks of life/from around the world sit down to tea and chat with me!)

Was raised in a high-control religion and lived most of my adult life serving in various ministries

I have a life mission statement that goes like this: I choose to create stories of love, art from beyond, silence to connect, and space to expand.
Qualifications

Craniosacral Certification: I trained for three years in advanced Craniosacral Therapy and Somatoemotional release (somatic healing work) at the Great River Craniosacral Therapy Institute in Nyack, NY.

Certified Integrative Somatic Practitioner: I trained at Integrative Wellness Academy to learn how to help people release stress and emotional tension by connecting the body and mind through holistic practices.

Somatic Guide: Current student at Somatic Experiencing International® (three-year trauma healing program).

Energy Medicine Practitioner Certification: I completed the nine-month Jaguar Path energy medicine training in 2017 where I learned energy healing modalities based on the Q’ero lineage of Peruvian shamans.

Religious Trauma Certification: At the Global Center for Religious Research, I studied the ins and outs of how high-control religions can affect the nervous system — throwing our bodies into hypervigilance or waves of shame. This certification gives me the tools to help you understand how the affects of fundamental religion can still be pervasive long after removing yourself from the demanding system.

My innate superpowers that can’t be certified, qualified, or distilled down to three letters behind my name. These are what I use to connect to the healing energies in this universe, in nature, myself…and in you.
Why I Practice
I’ve seen how somatic healing has transformed my own life. This is some powerful stuff. I’m a fellow human living in a healing body who, through somatic and craniosacral therapy, has released mounds of pent-up residue. Those old pockets of pain from the trauma of religion, toxic relationships, and unhealthy work environments: bam, found their way out of my body and spirt so I could live and move in a more freer, embodied way. I want to help other people do the same, to feel how potent they are and live in their true power.
